The UK goes MMS mad in the snow

VodafoneVodafone UK says over three quarters of a million pictures were taken and sent by its customers yesterday as the country was hit by heavy snow. That’s 63% higher than the previous week, with early morning messaging – between 6am and 12 noon – up 155%.

Calls were up more than 17% and text messaging was up 15% on the previous week.

The number of people using their mobiles at home also increased; usage of the Vodafone Sure Signal 3G femtocell was up over 25% during the day, with morning usage up 50%.
