Windows Phone 7.5 'Mango' OS update released to the public

Yesterday evening UK time, Microsoft began the roll-out of its Windows Phone 7.5 ‘Mango’ software update to mobile phones around the world. Around 10% of customers are expected to receive the update this week, with volumes increasing over the next four weeks if everything runs according to plan.

Customers will receive an update message on their smartphone; the download itself requires a PC or laptop connection.

New features in version 7.5 include speech commands, message ‘threading’, increased social network connectivity, enhanced search and browsing, mobile broadband ‘tethering’ and multitasking. There’ll also be a new web-based Marketplace for applications.

Updates are made so that your OS will not be late as new releases of technological devices are made. Therefore, you must always keep in touch with the provider of your device so updates will not be a hard task for you to have.
