Mark Bridge writes:

Mobile phones are vicious creatures. First they delivered a mortal blow to landline phones.

Emboldened, they began roaming the world looking for victims. They found plenty.

Walkie-talkies. Dead.

The pub quiz. Mortally wounded.

Compact cameras. Not doing well.

The iPod. Fratricide.

Sat Nav devices. Following the dodo.

Intimacy. Fading fast.

Bees. Not guilty, m’lud.

Anyway, today we’ve heard that Cisco is closing down its Flip video camera business as part of a reorganisation. Cisco isn’t pointing its corporate finger at anyone... but I’ve spotted a few shifty-looking HD-recording smartphones sidling away.
