Apple buys mobile assistant service Siri

It's reported that Apple is buying Siri, a young US-based company that had created a 'mobile assistant' application for the Apple iPhone. Siri combines personalised recommendations with online searches… which suggests that Apple is continuing its move into the same online territory as Google.
