The speed refers to the ‘category 4’ 4G LTE modem, which is capable of download speeds reaching 150 Mbps.

Sales of this Android-powered smartphone will begin on the Orange network in France from June 2013, with global sales to follow.

Specifications include a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, a 4.7-inch screen and a 13 megapixel camera.

Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, said “Ascend P2 is the perfect combination of elegance and power, and further proof that there’s no need to compromise when desiring a perfect smartphone. It is evidence of the outstanding smartphone experiences and great technology that we are committed to bringing to consumers globally.”
