Customers of the Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest can now withdraw money from a cash machine by using their mobile phone instead of a bank card.
The ‘GetCash’ service is available via the banks’ free app on Apple, Android and BlackBerry devices.

Apple has used its Worldwide Developers Conference as an opportunity to preview the forthcoming version of its iPhone and iPad operating system.
iOS 6, which is now available as a beta version for iOS Developer Program members, will be launched officially this autumn. It contains more than 200 new features from iOS5, including a new Apple-designed map application, enhanced Siri voice recognition options and greater Facebook integration. In addition, a new built-in app called Passbook is designed to store electronic passes and tickets.

Facebook’s App Center, which the company describes as ‘a new place to find social apps’, has now launched on the Facebook web site and via its iOS and Android mobile apps. Announced last month, the App Center is currently only available to customers in the USA.
The App Center features existing Facebook-friendly mobile and web apps as well as new apps. Currently over 600 apps are available, with the service offering personalised recommendations.

PayPal has revealed a new iOS and Android app that’ll let customers use their mobile devices to pay at high street shops in the UK. The inStore app will let customers pay via PayPal at participating retailers, even when there’s no mobile or WiFi signal.
Aurora Fashions - the company responsible for Coast, Karen Millen, Oasis and Warehouse fashion stores - is the first retailer to take part.
