Google's 2022 I/O conference for developers has seen the company previewing new products, including its Pixel 7 smartphone, a Pixel tablet and the first smartwatch entirely built by Google.

Epic Games, the business behind online video game Fortnite, says it's taking legal action against Apple and Google after both companies removed the game from their app stores.

Google says it’s planning to launch a new iOS and Android ‘smart messaging’ app called Allo, along with a video calling app called Duo.

Both are based on the user’s mobile phone number, drawing comparisons with WhatsApp.

Google has launched its Android Pay mobile payment service in the UK today.

It first introduced the service to the USA around nine months ago.
