Mosaik Solutions: providing mobile coverage data by putting all the pieces together

Mark Bridge writes:

Some parts of the mobile industry are all glamour and glitz, megapixels and multi-cores, apps and ads. And then there are the essential parts of the industry, quite often with considerably less competition... and therefore accompanied by less singing and dancing.

Mosaik SolutionsDespite hailing from the city of Memphis in Tennessee, Mosaik Solutions isn’t from the rock ‘n’ roll end of the mobile industry. It creates mobile coverage maps and provides coverage data, as well as supplying information about coverage patterns, wireless spectrum depth, network configurations and licencing.

Mosaik used Mobile World Congress 2012 as an opportunity to unveil its new name, having previously been called American Roamer.

Brian Darr, the company’s president and CEO, explained the decision. “We wanted a name that clearly conveyed who we are and what we provide. We take disparate pieces of intelligence and create elegant solutions to help clients manage customer expectations and empower them to make better strategic and tactical business decisions.”

“Mosaik Solutions has grown well beyond America - it is global. Our capabilities are beyond mobile and roaming - we have intelligence solutions for the entire network ecosystem.”

You can listen to the full interview with Brian Darr about the work of Mosaik Solutions on our website, via iTunes or by downloading the MP3 file. To download each of our mobile industry podcasts automatically, simply subscribe to our RSS feed or find ‘The Fonecast’ on iTunes.
