Acer launches 4G dual-SIM tablet with voice call functionality

Acer has officially launched a new 4G LTE-capable tablet that also offers dual-SIM capability and the ability to make voice calls. It’s called the Iconia Talk S and is the company’s first 4G tablet.

The Acer Iconia Talk S weighs 270g, runs Android on a Qualcomm quad-core chip, has a 7-inch 1280 x 720 pixel display with anti-fingerprint coating and will support microSD memory cards.

UK availability hasn’t been confirmed.

MEF predictions: ten key mobile trends for 2014

MEF, the global trade association for companies engaged in mobile content and commerce, has revealed its mobile industry predictions for the next 12 months.

Its forecast combines insights from the group’s Global Board of Directors with research from the recent Global Mobile Consumer Survey.
