The new Apple iPad tablets, Google's latest Nexus devices, Android Lollipop, wearable tech from will.i.am and the world's slimmest smartphone all feature in this week's podcast.

Musician and entrepreneur will.i.am has announced a new wearable communication device called Puls.

Described as a ‘cuff’ rather than a smartwatch, Puls is voice-controlled and will contain its own SIM card. Exclusive launch deals have been arranged with O2 in the UK and AT&T in the USA, although dates and pricing haven’t been confirmed.

Musician will.i.am, best known for his work with the Black Eyed Peas, has revealed a new iPhone accessory that’ll go on sale in Selfridges London from 6th December.

The i.am+™ foto.sosho™ fits on an iPhone 4 or 4S and offers a choice of different lenses. As well as making the iPhone appear more like a conventional camera, it also offers control of the camera features, photo editing and photo sharing via social networks.

A suggestion that UK mobile phone networks might be forced to improve black-spot coverage by allowing interconnection with their rivals is back in the news. It made the headlines in June and has returned again this week, which is why I could be heard offering my opinion on BBC local radio yesterday morning.
