Ofcom asks "Which type of communicator are you?"

New analysis of the UK’s communication habits has found that people can be categorised into five different groups of communicators, ranging from the ‘always on’ to the ‘detached’.

Earlier this year, Ofcom’s Communication Market Report revealed that the UK is now texting more that talking. Further analysis of the research, published today, looks at the methods and frequency of communication, as well people’s attitudes towards it.

Vodafone quarterly figures show revenue growth

Vodafone has published quarterly results for the three months ending 30th June 2010. In the UK, service revenue was up 0.7%, contract churn had dropped to 15.5% and 245,000 net contract customers had been added.

Vittorio Colao, Vodafone's Chief Executive, said "These are the first quarterly results to show service revenue growth since the global recession impacted. We have achieved these results through our continuing commercial approach in key European markets, focusing especially on data, and from strong growth in emerging markets, with India now cash positive at an operating level and our highest ever quarterly revenue in Turkey. The financial outlook for the current year is confirmed."
