ExclusiveVertu launches its first touchscreen smartphone

Luxury mobile phone brand Vertu has launched its first touchscreen handset.

It’s called the Vertu Constellation - a product name that was originally used five years ago - and is a Symbian-based smartphone with a 3.5-inch display. On the back is an 8 megapixel camera.

ExclusiveStarbucks plans UK mobile payment app in January

It’s reported that Starbucks will launch an iPhone app for mobile payments in January next year.

Customers who already have a Starbucks payment card will be able to link the card to the app. It’ll enable them to pay for items in 700 coffee shops by using an on-screen barcode.

PRADA and LG Electronics have renewed their exclusive mobile phone partnership and have committed to developing a new device, the PRADA phone by LG 3.0, for launch in early 2012.

The original Prada phone - launched as the world’s first touchscreen mobile phone - was introduced in 2007.
