Mozilla has announced a new dual-core Firefox OS reference phone for mobile developers.
The Firefox OS Flame smartphone, which has a 4.5-inch screen and a 5 megapixel camera, is designed to help developers create and test new applications.

Huawei has revealed five new products in advance of Mobile World Congress 2014, which opens in Barcelona tomorrow.

Microsoft says it’s now working with nine new hardware partners on Windows Phone devices: Foxconn, Gionee, Lava/Xolo, Lenovo, LG, Longcheer, JSR, Karbonn and ZTE.
These will join the four current partners, which are HTC, Huawei, Nokia and Samsung.

Apple has updated iOS6 and iOS7 to fix an issue with browsing web sites protected by SSL.
Without this update, iPhone and iPad users who were visiting a ‘secure’ website were at risk of having their communication intercepted if they were using a public WiFi connection.
