Acer has announced two new Android-powered smartphones ahead of next week’s Mobile World Congress: the Liquid E3 and the Liquid Z4.

Newcastle City Council has announced plans to introduce free WiFi to the city centre.
It’ll be available to visitors and residents across the city, in public buildings, on streets and potentially also on Newcastle’s Metro railway system.

New figures from media agency Mindshare Worldwide show that Thailand has the world’s highest proportion of internet users who aren’t relying on desktop computers.
Just 54% of people in Thailand used a desktop or laptop computer as their main internet device, with 32% using smartphones and 11% on tablets.

UK-based mobile manufacturer Kazam, which was launched last year by two former HTC executives, has announced three new phone ranges.
