The Phone Co-op - described as the UK’s only telecommunications co-operative - has become the only UK mobile telecom provider to stock the Fairphone ethical smartphone.
It’s offering the handset with no initial charge on ‘pay monthly’ contracts costing from £22 incl. VAT per month.
HTC has announced a small point-and-shoot waterproof camera that’s been described as a rival to the GoPro range.
The new RE has an unconventional cylindrical design without a viewfinder, although it can be controlled via an Android or iOS application that will also back up its photos. Live video stream is due to be added to the app in the future.

UK telecoms operator EE has launched a new home TV service that lets customers use smartphones and tablets as remote controls for their home television.
EE TV, which will be available later this autumn, is based on a ‘smart box’ that plugs into a TV set via an HDMI socket. It’s equipped with a 1TB hard drive for recording, along with 4 Freeview tuners and WiFi connectivity.
