EE says it’ll invest £275 million in its voice call service next year.
In total, the company is planning to spend £1.5 billion on its network during the next few years, with over a third supporting its ambition “to reach new standards in phone call quality and reliability”.

HTC experienced a bit of Christmas cheer last week when the threat of a sales injunction against the HTC One mini smartphone and a number of other devices was lifted. Nokia had previously won a patent-related court case against HTC but it seems that a sales ban was deemed too harsh a penalty.

Company president and COO Steve Mollenkopf will become Chief Executive
Mobile technology company Qualcomm Incorporated says it’ll be appointing Chief Operating Officer Steve Mollenkopf as its CEO in March next year.
Mr Mollenkopf is currently also the company president and will retain that role.

Quarterly report reveals telecoms and pay TV complaints
Ofcom has published its latest quarterly report, which shows details of the amount of complaints it’s received about major telecoms and pay TV providers.
This new report covers the period from July to September 2013.

LG has announced a special ‘Google Play’ version of its G Pad 8.3 tablet, which it says will be the first device to be designated a Google Play Edition tablet.
This means it’ll run a ‘clean’ version of Android rather than having LG’s own user interface on top.
