Luxury smartphone manufacturer Vertu launches its second Android handset

British-based luxury handset manufacturer Vertu has released a new smartphone called the Constellation.

It’s the company’s second Android phone, following the Ti that was announced in February.

Smartphones have become an essential parenting tool for mobile mums

Online parenting site BabyCentre has published a survey that shows over half of all mums considered their smartphone to be an ‘essential tool’ to help with parenting.

Almost three in five said it helped to reduce the isolation of new motherhood, while 40% described their mobile device as a ‘backup brain’.

Virgin Mobile co-founder and ex-EE CEO Tom Alexander returns to mobile with Viacloud

Tom Alexander, who co-founded Virgin Mobile in 1999 and was CEO at Everything Everywhere until 2011, has returned to the mobile industry as non-executive chairman of Viacloud UK.

He’ll be working with a recently-appointed management team that includes CEO Emanuele Angelidis, Chief Commercial Officer Tim Stone, Chief Technology Officer Jon Kandiah and Chief Financial Officer Richard Schaefer.

Mopay signs a global carrier billing agreement with Telefonica Digital

Online payment provider mopay has announced a carrier billing partnership with Telefónica, giving it direct access to the BlueVia billing platform.

It’ll improve the customer experience when consumers use mopay to buy digital goods and services that are charged to their phone bill.
