Twitter has announced - in a Tweet, naturally - that it’s submitted paperwork to the US Securities and Exchange Commission for a planned Initial Public Offering (IPO).
It’s described the submission as ‘confidential’ because it’s a relatively small business and therefore didn’t need to reveal any information under US law at the moment.

Dolby Laboratories has announced that company founder Dr Ray Dolby OBE died yesterday at the age of 80.
Dr Dolby, who is best known for his pioneering work with the noise reduction and surround sound systems that bear his name, founded Dolby Laboratories in 1965.
