PC and mobile manufacturer Acer has announced plans to launch AcerCloud, a secure online service that’ll let users share multimedia and data files between PC and smartphones - even when the main PC is in standby or hibernation mode.
Acer’s ‘Always Connect’ technology will wake a hibernating PC through WiFi, enabling media to be retrieved via a mobile device.

Nokia is planning a software update to resolve battery problems with some versions of its Lumia 800 smartphone.
The company says an update is already being rolled out and another is scheduled for early next year.

The Nokia Lumia 710 will be the company’s first Windows Phone available in the United States - and it’ll run on the T-Mobile network.
It follows the release of the Lumia 800 in the UK last month.
