London-based smartphone company Kazam, which was set up by former HTC executives Michael Coombes and James Atkins earlier this year, has announced more details about its management team.
There are now 30 people working at Kazam.

The fixed penalty for using a hand-held mobile phone when driving in the UK has increased from £60 to £100 today. As before, there’ll also be three points added to the driver’s licence.
This follows a consultation in June last year and a government announcement about the changes two months ago.

Independent mobile advertising business Millennial Media has agreed to acquire privately-owned rival Jumptap.
The deal is described as a 'predominantly stock transaction', with Jumptap shareholders receiving Millennial Media shares.

Telefónica UK has been chosen as one of the preferred communications service providers for the UK’s smart meter roll-out. Subject to contract, it’ll provide communications services across the Centre and South regions in a deal worth £1.5 billion over 15 years.
The provider for the North region is infrastructure company Arqiva, with a deal worth £625 million over 15 years.
