Virgin Media Business has launched a mobile phone service for its business customers.
The new virtual mobile network, called Business Mobile, runs on the EE 4G network.

EE says it’s connected more than one million 4G customers in the UK, four months ahead of its end-of-year target.
The company launched its 4G UK service on 30th October 2012 and currently provides service to more than 100 towns and cities.

Supermarket chain Asda is moving its UK virtual mobile network to EE from the end of next month.
The Asda Mobile MVNO, which was launched six years ago, currently uses the Vodafone network.

So – we take a short break at the end of the August ‘silly season’ and one of the year’s biggest mobile-related rumours becomes fact. At least we’re back in time to report on the final stages of the Vodafone/Verizon deal. Yes, it looks as though Big Red will be picking up something like $130 billion for its 45% stake in Verizon Communications… possibly within the next few hours. Just don’t mention the tax, okay?
