Fashion designer Jil Sander has created her own mobile phone, called simply the ‘Jil Sander Mobile’. It’s been built by LG and runs ‘Mango’ version 7.5 of the Windows Phone operating system.
The device will be available in the UK as well as in Austria, France, Italy and Germany.

Isis, the US-based mobile commerce venture announced last November by AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless, has acquired a number of new supporters.
HTC, LG, Motorola Mobility, RIM, Samsung Mobile and Sony Ericsson all say they’ll be introducing NFC-enabled mobile devices compatible with the Isis technology standards. In addition, Isis is working with DeviceFidelity to add NFC functionality to other mobile devices.

Mobile News reports that LG has appointed Warren Lewis as its UK head of mobile.
He’s spent the last four years leading the company’s IT solutions business within LG Electronics, most recently as Commercial Director.

Next week's IFA 2011 show in Berlin will see LG Electronics demonstrating its OpenGL-based 2D-to-3D game conversion engine for mobile phones.
It's planned to include this in an update for LG Optimus 3D smartphones starting from October.
