BT CEO Ian Livingston is to step down from his role in September, having been asked to become the UK government’s Minister of State for Trade and Investment.
Gavin Patterson, who’s currently chief executive of BT Retail, will take over as chief executive of BT Group plc.

Huawei has announced what it’s describing as the world’s slimmest smartphone. The Huawei Ascend P6 is just 6.18mm deep, compared with 7.6mm for the iPhone 5.
It runs Android on a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and has a 4.7-inch HD screen.

Mobile payment business iZettle has launched its service in Mexico today and has appointed former Visa executive Luis Arceo as Managing Director of its Mexican operations.
It’s the first time iZettle has ben available outside Europe.
