The US International Trade Commission has decided that Apple is not violating patents held by S3 Graphics.
It’s bad news for HTC, which agreed to pay VIA Technologies and WTI Investment a total of $300 million for the company earlier this year.

HTC has published results for the third quarter of 2011. It says total revenue grew for the sixth consecutive quarter, reaching NT$135.82 billion - a 79% increase on Q3 2010.
After-tax profit was NT$18.68 billion, up 68% year-on-year.

HTC Corporation is spending $13 million to acquire Inquisitive Minds, the company behind the Zoodles brand.
Zoodles is a free app for smartphones, tablets and computers that puts the device into a child-safe mode. It’s currently used by over two million people.
