Vodafone has announced plans to acquire German cable TV and telephone business Kabel Deutschland in a deal worth £6.6 billion.
The plans have been welcomed by the management of Kabel Deutschland, which is expected to recommend that shareholders accept the offer.

Vodafone UK has announced that it's planning to spend more than £900 million on its fixed-line and mobile networks in the current financial year; the equivalent of over £2.5 million every day.
That’s a 50% increase on last year’s investment.

Vodafone’s charitable arm - the Vodafone Foundation - has launched a new competition for mobile app developers.
It’s called the Mobile for Good Europe Awards and follows the Vodafone Foundation’s Smart Accessibility Award, which has run for the past two years.
