Apple says it’s sold nine million new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c smartphones within the first three days of them going on sale.
The figure is a new record for Apple, although it’s also the first time the company has launched two handset models and included China in its initial launch.

Apple has announced two new iPhone smartphones this evening.
The iPhone 5s is the company’s new flagship handset, described as the world’s first smartphone with 64-bit desktop-class architecture. As well as using Apple’s A7 chip it also has an improved 8 megapixel camera and a fingerprint sensor for unlocking.
