North Korea cuts 3G mobile web access for foreign visitors

Groups that organize trips to North Korea say the country is no longer offering mobile Internet to foreign visitors, just weeks after it unveiled a new 3G service that promised an unprecedented look into the notoriously closed state.

The apparently uncensored Internet service was introduced last month, setting off a flurry of Instagram photos and Twitter posts.

BlackBerry results show subscriber numbers down but profit up

BlackBerry has reported results for the final quarter of its financial year, which ended on 2nd March 2013.

Revenue for Q4 was down 36% year-on-year to $2.7 billion (£1.8 billion), although quarterly income reached $98 million; a dramatic change from the $125 million loss announced for Q4 2012.

EE says its 4G service now covers half the UK population

EE (formerly Everything Everywhere) has switched on 4G coverage in 13 more towns and cities, which means that 50% of the UK population now has 4G coverage.

A total of 50 towns and cities currently have EE’s 4G service.
