The Mobile Marketing Association has launched an initiative to develop a “comprehensive set of mobile privacy guidelines” that’ll be available alongside the trade organisation’s Global Code of Conduct. It says there’s a growing need for marketers and consumers to have a transparent, accepted understanding as to how information is collected and used for mobile marketing.

The latest European Mobile Consumer Briefing report from the Mobile Marketing Association has found that 30% of mobile phone users across the UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands have downloaded at least one application onto their current mobile phone. (It's a lower figure than the USA, where 42% of mobile consumers recently claimed to have downloaded apps).

The Mobile Marketing Association has published its latest Mobile Consumer Briefing, which is looking at consumer exposure and responses to mobile advertising in the UK, France and Germany.
On average, 45% of European consumers noticed mobile advertising and 29% of these people responded to it.

The Mobile Marketing Association has appointed Greg Stuart as its President and CEO. He takes over from MMA Global Chairman Federico Pisani Massamormile, who'd been serving as interim CEO following the departure of Mike Wehrs last December.
