Mobile Broadband Network Limited, the 50/50 joint venture set up by Three UK and T-Mobile almost three years ago, has now delivered more than 12,000 shared 3G sites across the UK for the two networks. Each of these 3G sites is fully-configured for high-speed mobile broadband access.

Telecoms regulator Ofcom is warning consumers to check they aren’t owed money when they switch to a new communications provider. Mobile network operator Three UK has completed the first phase of its £400 million 3G network upgrade. It's added 4,900 'base stations' in the last three years, giving it a total of 12,400 sites and 3G coverage of almost 97% of the UK population.
