New flagship Android device plus "world's largest" smartphone
Huawei has announced a couple of high-spec smartphones at CES 2013 today.
The Huawei Ascend D2 is an Android device with a 5-inch 1920x1080 display, 13 megapixel camera and a 1.5 GHz quad-core CPU.

Sony Mobile Communications has revealed its new flagship Android smartphone at the CES show in Las Vegas.
The Sony Xperia Z is a 4G-ready device with a 5-inch 1920x1080 screen, a 13 megapixel camera and a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor. It’s expected to be available within the next few months.

A recent research report from Strategy Analytics shows that the smartphone applications processor market grew by 58% year-on-year in Q3 2012, reaching $3.8 billion.
Qualcomm was estimated to have a 42% revenue share of the smartphone applications processor market in Q3 2012, followed by Samsung with 27%.
