LG introduces a quad-core 4G smartphone

LG Electronics has formally announced the Optimus G, a new smartphone that’s the first 4G LTE device to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5GHz quad-core processor.

The LG Optimus G has a 4.7-inch WXGA display, a 13-megapixel camera and a 2,100mAh battery. It runs Android v4.0 and is equipped with NFC connectivity

Samsung Electronics has introduced products and services that it says will ‘push the boundaries of innovation’.

Introducing its latest products at the IFA 2012 consumer electronics show, the company revealed the new Galaxy Note II, a Galaxy Camera and a Windows 8 phone as well as televisions, refrigerators and washing machines.

Lord's, the London cricket ground owned by Marylebone Cricket Club, is to offer its visitors free WiFi access.

A five-year deal has been agreed between the MCC and WiFi provider The Cloud.

Sony Mobile has announced a number of new products at the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin. There are three new Android-powered Xperia smartphones, a new splash-proof Android tablet and a hybrid slate/laptop VAIO PC running Windows 8.

The company also noted that its Android tablets would be branded as ‘Xperia’ in the future.

Everything Everywhere confirms it's selling some 4G-ready spectrum to Three UK

Everything Everywhere has confirmed a much-rumoured agreement to transfer a 2×15MHz slice of its 1800MHz spectrum to Three UK.

Ofcom has recently given the go-ahead for this frequency band to be used for 4G services.
