TCT Mobile, the company behind the Alcatel mobile phone brand, has announced the Alcatel One Touch Net handset. It's designed for emerging markets and is preloaded with a suite of Yahoo!'s products, including Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Homepage, Yahoo! Search, Yahoo! Social Pulse, Flickr and Yahoo! Address Book and Calendar.
The Alcatel One Touch Net phone has a QWERTY keyboard and is equipped with a 2.4-inch screen, an 80MB memory, a 2 megapixel camera, an MP3 player, FM radio and stereo Bluetooth technology. It's due in Q3 2010.

Burnside Telecom, which makes 'desktop mobile phones', has announced that its P230 Easy Answer Desktop Mobile Phone is now available from The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB). The phone combines the flexibility of a mobile phone with the familiarity and ease-of-use of a desktop telephone.
All that's needed is a SIM card and mains power supply.
