Most purchases will be from enterprise and public sector buyers
Shipments of ‘smart glasses’, such as the Google Glass product, are expected to grow by almost 150% this year.
That’s according to ABI Research, which expects over 90% of these purchases to come from enterprise or public sector customers.

Research firm Berg Insight has calculated that shipments of connected wearable devices reached 19 million this year, more than three times last year’s total of 5.9 million devices.
This includes smartwatches, smart glasses, fitness and activity trackers, individual safety/monitoring devices and wearable medical devices.

Figures from wireless analyst firm Berg Insight show that 70% of electricity customers in Europe are expected to have smart meters by 2022.
The current figure for smart meter penetration in Europe is 24%; that’s the equivalent of 67.9 million smart electricity meters, most of which are in Italy, Spain and the Nordic countries.
