The ZTE Tania - ZTE’s first Windows Phone device for the UK - has been confirmed today.
It’s 10.7mm deep and offers a 4.3-inch 800x480 pixel touchscreen on the front with a 5 megapixel camera on the back. Inside is 4GB of storage and a 1GHz processor.

The Eastman Kodak Company - better known as simply Kodak - and its US subsidiaries have today filed voluntary petitions for ‘chapter 11’ business reorganisation under the bankruptcy laws of the United States.
The company has also filed a lawsuit against Samsung Electronics, alleging that certain Samsung tablets infringe five of Kodak’s digital imaging technology patents.

Motorola Mobility Ventures, the investment arm of Motorola Mobility, has invested in social networking start-up Shaker.
Israeli-based Shaker works with Facebook to allow people to meet based on mutual friends and shared interests.

Sony Ericsson has published its annual results for 2011, along with separate figures for the final quarter of the financial year.
It’s likely to be the last quarterly report from the joint venture, which is expected to become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony within the next few weeks.

So sang Ella Fitzgerald, Bananarama and the Fun Boy Three - although sadly not on the same recording. But that message is no longer being followed by many companies. Instead, the new mantra seems to be the other way round. And I think that’s a good thing.
