Intel and MasterCard working together on new online shopping initiatives

Intel and MasterCard have announced a partnership that’s designed to create a safer and simpler checkout process for online merchants and consumers.

The plan is to enhance the payment options for consumers who are shopping on an Intel-powered ‘ultraportable’ Ultrabook or future generations of Intel-based PCs.

O2 launches 4G LTE trial in London

We’ve had Everything Everywhere launching the UK’s first 4G LTE trial in a corner of Cornwall - and now O2 is switching on the UK’s largest LTE network trial.

It’s set up a 4G network in London and will be running it as a trial for the next 9 months.

Telefonica releases quarterly and three-quarter results

Telefónica has released its quarterly results along with figures for the first three-quarters of its financial year.

Overall, the company reported a 5.4% increase in revenue to 46.7 billion Euro (£39.9 billion) for the nine-month period and a 6% rise in customer numbers to almost 300 million fixed-line and mobile connections worldwide.
