Independent app store GetJar has introduced a new scheme called GetJar Gold.
It enables users to download premium applications they’d have to pay up to $10 for on other app stores. Unlike other promotional offers, new premium apps are added to GetJar Gold every day and remain on the store.

The recently-formed mobile payment and mobile advertising partnership between Everything Everywhere, O2 and Vodafone is reportedly the subject of a legal complaint to the European Directorate General for Competition.

New location-based app echoecho left its beta stage this week, having attracted $750,000 in funding from Google Ventures and UK-based PROfounders Capital.
The cross-platform application is designed to help customers find where their contacts are, even if the recipient of the ‘where are you?’ query doesn’t have the echoecho app. The user can also share their location with friends.
