Apple has been granted a preliminary injunction against the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, according to press reports. This means the device can no longer be distributed anywhere in the European Union (with the exception of the Netherlands).
Apple claims the Galaxy Tab infringes part of the iPad's design.

HTC Corporation has announced a partnership and investment deal with Beats Electronics, the company behind the 'Beats by Dr. Dre' audio products. As a result, HTC will be releasing a number of devices that include Beats sound innovations in the autumn.
Beats Electronics will continue to operate as a separate company with Jimmy Iovine as Chairman.

The Competition Appeal Tribunal has upheld BT's appeal against Ofcom's ruling that call termination charges for 'non geographic' numbers couldn't be increased.
As a result, BT can now claim higher payments from the UK's mobile networks when connecting calls to 0845, 0870 and 0800 numbers.
