Google says a completely redesigned Android Market client is being rolled out to Android mobile phones. It's expected to be available on all devices running v2.2 and above in the next few weeks.
The home screen has a new 'tile' format with a promotional page and the option to search for books and movies in countries where these services are available. There'll also be country-specific lists of top apps in many regions.

UP by Jawbone is due to be launched later this year. It includes sophisticated sensor technology to track your movement, sleep patterns and nutrition.

O2 UK is building on the success of its 'Priority Tickets' service by launching a new location-based offers scheme called Priority Moments. It'll rival existing 'voucher' discount services such as Groupon and will be available to O2's 22 million customers across the UK.
The deals could save O2 customers over £100 per month.

73% of mobile phone users in the USA use their mobile phones to visit social networking sites at least once a day, according to a new survey from ABI Research.
Social networking was the second most-popular mobile activity after checking email, which was carried out by 80% of smartphone, feature phone or tablet users.

Vodafone has issued a statement about the security of the Vodafone Sure Signal femtocell, which is available in the UK to boost signal strength indoors.
On Wednesday last week a security group called The Hacker's Choice said it had managed to reverse-engineer the equipment, enabling a modified femtocell to intercept calls made by Vodafone customers within 50 metres of the rogue device.
