HTC turns old O2 HQ into new European and UK headquarters

HTC Corporation has officially opened its new European and UK headquarters in Slough today. The building will house senior management, the sales & marketing teams and the engineering teams for HTC EMEA and HTC UK.

The new HTC facility covers 6,500 square metres and was formerly the UK headquarters of O2.

Multi-million pound share sale for Carphone Warehouse co-founder

David Ross, who helped Charles Dunstone co-found The Carphone Warehouse, has just sold 4.4 million of his shares.

That represented around 7% of his total shareholding, netting him in the region of £17 million and leaving him with over 58 million shares (just under 13% of the company).

Make the most of social networks, research company tells mobile operators

Mobile operators must make the most of mobile social networking by offering innovative devices, tariffs and services. That's the message from Pyramid Research, which has just published a report called The Peril and Promise of Mobile Social Networks for Operators.

It says communications patterns and mobile devices are both being influenced by social networking.

Its 'Locked & Found' service will be available as a part of Best Buy's Geek Squad Black Tie Protection Program in stores across the USA.

Samsung lets you share what you're watching from TV to mobile

Samsung Electronics has revealed a 'Smart View' mobile app that lets users watch content from their Samsung Smart TV on their Samsung mobile phone.

It works by using a home WiFi network to display content from the Samsung Smart TV on the mobile device's screen. The app will display regular TV shows, DVDs and video from any other device connected to the TV.
