Samsung Electronics says its new slim tablet, the Galaxy Tab 10.1, will be available in the UK on 4th August 2011. It'll launch with Android v3.1 and will be offered in 3G+WiFi and WiFi-only versions.
As the name suggests, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a 10.1-inch WXGA TFT LCD screen.

Some of the UK's largest technology and media companies are working together to see if unused TV spectrum could be used as an alternative to WiFi and mobile data.
The BBC, BSkyB, BT, Microsoft, Nokia and Samsung are among the companies that have formed the Cambridge TV White Spaces Consortium.

Samsung Electronics has revealed a 'Smart View' mobile app that lets users watch content from their Samsung Smart TV on their Samsung mobile phone.
It works by using a home WiFi network to display content from the Samsung Smart TV on the mobile device's screen. The app will display regular TV shows, DVDs and video from any other device connected to the TV.

O2 has published the latest scores from its Eco rating scheme. Nokia's C6-01 and E7-00 topped the list, both scoring 4.1 out of 5, followed by the Samsung Galaxy Mini, the Sony Ericsson X8 and the Nokia C7-02 - all with 4 points.
The Eco ratings were launched in August last year as part of O2's Think Big sustainability programme.
