New deal could boost mobile coverage in England's National Parks

A new agreement between National Parks England and the Mobile Operators Association is set to improve mobile phone coverage while remaining sensitive to the local environment.

It’s designed to improve connectivity for people who work in National Parks whilst protecting the special qualities of the area.

Around 12,500 jobs to be cut by Microsoft as it reorganises former Nokia mobile phone business

Microsoft is to shed around 12,500 jobs from its mobile division in the next 12 months.

The announcement was made in a memo released both internally and publicly; a similar style to CEO Satya Nadella’s statement last week about Microsoft’s future.

Last year AT&T, T‑Mobile and Verizon rolled out their Isis mobile payment service across the USA.

However, recent international news headlines have used the acronym ISIS to refer to a group of fighters in Syria and Iraq.
