Every year since we started podcasting in 2006, we've used our last regular show of the year to make some predictions for the following 12 months.

The Amazon Kindle is now the best-selling Amazon product ever

Amazon says its third-generation ‘3G’ Kindle ebook reader has become the company’s best-selling product of all time, knocking ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ off the top spot.

Broadband satellite launches successfully

Eutelsat Communications successfully launched its KA-SAT satellite on Boxing Day 2010. The 6.1 tonne satellite will offer internet connectivity for more than one million homes at speeds comparable to ADSL.

Skype stabilises in time for Christmas

VoIP service Skype, which was stricken by problems on Wednesday, is now reported to be running normally for audio and video calls, with user volumes approaching their regular levels.
