Simon Stanford, Vice President of Mobile & IT for Samsung UK and Ireland, has left the company.
He’d been with Samsung for almost five years, taking over the ‘Head of Mobile’ role in 2010 when Mark Mitchinson left.

Government ministers are talking to mobile network operators about the possibility of allowing ‘roaming’ between UK networks, according to news reports.
It means that ‘black spot’ areas of poor coverage would be reduced.

EE says it’s planning to allow UK customers to make voice calls over WiFi connections “with a higher quality and greater degree of reliability than unmanaged VoIP services”.
Calls will be available via the standard dialler on the customer’s smartphone, with SMS messaging also available.

Designer Adrien Sauvage, who founded of House A. Sauvage, has worked with Nokia to create trousers that incorporate a wireless charging pocket for smartphones.
His new ‘Modern Man’ collection uses technology from the Nokia DC-50 wireless charging plate to recharge any compatible device that’s placed in the trouser pocket.
