The UK Financial Services Authority has published rules that will require mobile phone conversations to be recorded by certain regulated financial organisations. It says this will provide an extra source of evidence that can be used to help defend against market abuse.

Telefónica Europe is the latest company to report its Q3 financial results. It says its European customer base has risen 14% year-on-year to 55 million users, with its mobile customer base up 5.5% year-on-year to 45.9 million.
