Facebook is introducing a ‘seamless messaging’ service that’s designed to work across SMS, email and Facebook’s own chat service. Users will be able to converse in real time with friends by using whatever method and device they want.

94% of mobile operators believe that social networking will be the most popular form of communication by 2015. That’s the result from an independent survey of 31 leading global operators commissioned by mobile messaging company Airwide Solutions.

A mobile phone fraud worth £60,000 was revealed last week. 195 mobile phones had been ordered online from The Carphone Warehouse using false names but genuine addresses. Instead of delivering the phones to the correct address, delivery drivers were paid to deliver them to the person who’d placed the fraudulent orders.

Mobile Broadband Network Limited, the 50/50 joint venture set up by Three UK and T-Mobile almost three years ago, has now delivered more than 12,000 shared 3G sites across the UK for the two networks. Each of these 3G sites is fully-configured for high-speed mobile broadband access.
