Branding consultancy Interbrand has released the 12th version of its Best Global Brands report. Once again, Coca-Cola is rated as the world’s most-valuable brand at $71,861 million (around £46.5 billion).
In fact, the top seven brands remain in the same places as they did in 2010; after Coca-Cola comes IBM, then Microsoft, Google, GE, McDonald’s and Intel.

The Linux Foundation has announced a new open source project called Tizen.
Tizen will be designed to support a range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, netbooks and in-vehicle equipment. The project will be hosted by The Linux Foundation with development led by a technical steering group composed of Intel and Samsung.

Intel Corporation and Google have said they’ll work together to make sure future versions of Android will work on Intel’s low-power Atom processors.
The aim is to speed up the development of Intel-powered Android smartphones.
