Apple CEO Steve Jobs has launched the company's iPad 2 tablet device at a press event today.
It has the same 9.7-inch screen size (and resolution) as the original iPad but is 33% thinner and is also lighter. The device includes Apple's new 1GHz dual-core A5 processor and two cameras, with a front-facing camera for 'FaceTime' video calls and a rear-facing camera for 720p HD video recording.

Apple has announced a subscription service that's available to anyone publishing a content-based app on the App Store.
It means the digital subscription service recently launched with News Corp.'s ‘The Daily’ app is now available to other digital magazines and newspapers, along with video and music services.

The winners of the 16th Annual Global Mobile Awards were announced at the GSMA Mobile World Congress last night.
Apple’s iPhone 4 was awarded Best Mobile Device, HTC collected the Best Device Manufacturer Award and Angry Birds picked up the Best Mobile App Award.
