RIM launches BlackBerry 10 for developers

Research In Motion has revealed more details about the the BlackBerry 10 platform at its BlackBerry World conference in Orlando.

The company has also released a developer toolkit for software development and its prototype BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha device.

Samsung is top smartphone manufacturer but Apple makes more money

Mobile analyst firm Juniper Research says Samsung is currently shipping more smartphones than Apple.

In total, it’s calculated that almost 60% of the 139 million smartphones shipped worldwide in the first quarter of this year were either Apple (35.1 million) or Samsung (46.9 million) devices.

Multiplayer Computer Games are Big Business for Small Devices

Millions of people are addicted to playing games on mobile devices, with rivals and teammates spread around the world. A company in Austin, Texas has developed such a game, known as a mobile multiplayer online game, for the Apple iPhone and iPad, basing it on a pen-and-paper game that was popular in the 1970s called Traveller.
