Orange and Nokia do an Ovi deal for the UK and France

Orange and Nokia have announced an integrated Ovi service that'll combine apps from the Orange Application Shop with content from Nokia's Ovi Store.

Nokia’s Ovi Store with Orange will be accessible by Orange customers in the UK and France in 2011.

Nokia announces E7 'communicator' at Nokia World

Nokia has announced a new Eseries business mobile phone at the Nokia World event in London. The Nokia E7-00 is described by the company as a 'mobile office', offering a tilt-and-slide form factor with a 4-inch touchscreen (using the company's new Nokia ClearBlack technology for improved outdoor visibility) and a QWERTY keyboard.

Garmin could close smartphone business next year

Garmin's Chief Financial Officer Kevin Rauckman has admitted to Reuters that the company's nüvifone navigation-focussed smartphone hasn't done as well as expected. In an interview he said the company would decide within the next six months whether it would continue investing in its partnership with Asus.
