ExclusiveOfcom data reveals levels of customer service provided by UK mobile networks

Ofcom’s latest quarterly report into the customer service provided by landline, broadband, mobile phone and pay TV companies shows a significant change in the mobile sector.

Overall, thousands of consumers who’d contacted their provider between July and September 2012 were asked to rate the customer service they’d received. 67% of mobile phone users were satisfied with their network’s customer service, compared with 62% of fixed broadband users, 64% of landline customers and 69% of pay TV subscribers.

ExclusiveRail WiFi specialist acquires transport display business

UK-based Nomad Digital, which specialises in providing WiFi services on buses and trains, has acquired the technology and support operations of Danish business CM Technology.

CMT, which is based in Copenhagen, provides passenger information systems on public transport and in transport hubs.

ExclusiveKickvox app promises a new way of searching on smartphones

Mobile search is a hot topic again. Earlier this year we reported on mazoom.mobi, an internet search engine designed in the UK for smartphones, and now another mobile-optimised search provider has launched.

Kickvox claims to be the first of its kind, offering “a visual, integrated and categorised search experience that is designed exclusively for mobile devices”.
